Use DECinfo Locator Before an Outdoor Plan
DECinfo Locator can put outdoor recreation layers and nearby environmental records on the same map before you pick a route or launch.

DECinfo Locator is an interactive map for DEC documents, public environmental data, and outdoor recreation information. Its icons show that information is available. They do not automatically mean a site has a problem.
Use it when checking a fishing access, trail, wetland edge, or nearby regulated facility. Open the Outdoor Activity tab, zoom until the layers turn active, and click map features for links. A map icon is a lead to the linked DEC record or contact, not a conclusion about the site.
Keep the exact location, active layer, map feature, linked document, and date checked together. Use the feature’s DEC page or permit contact for the next question.
