Steuben Delinquent Taxes Route Through Finance

Steuben owners with late property taxes should check Finance, delinquent-tax lists, online payment options, and installment terms by parcel.

Published June 23, 2026 · Last verified June 23, 2026

Steuben County routes delinquent property taxes through the Finance Department. Current taxes are payable to local collectors while delinquent taxes are payable to the Steuben County Finance Office. The most current year due has to be paid before prior years. Steuben’s taxes page also warns that unpaid delinquent parcels can be listed with the County Clerk, creating a notice of pendency.

Check the Finance balance for the parcel, then use the online-payment or installment-contract page if a payment route is needed. Keep the parcel number, tax years, most-current-year payment, balance, notice of pendency, agreement, and receipts together.
