Staten Island Commercial Vehicles Have Overnight Rules
Staten Island residents and contractors should check NYC commercial-vehicle overnight and street-storage rules before parking on residential blocks.

A Staten Island work van, box truck, or other work vehicle can draw a ticket on a home block. Commercial vehicles may not park on a residential street from 9 PM to 5 AM. Unless a sign says otherwise, they also may not park on any street for more than three hours. NYC Finance has a code for the overnight violation. Its stated exceptions cover some nearby business work and some utility or fuel-service vehicles.
Read the signs and identify the vehicle type, nearby business work, and off-street options. If a ticket comes up, keep a sign photo, vehicle details, place, time, and Finance code together.
