Calling another agency or arguing with a garage does not stop the clock. If the vehicle is shared by a household or business, assign one person to track the violation number and response date.

Keep the ticket, violation number, issue date, response deadline, photos, and any meter or sign evidence together. Use NYC Finance to request the hearing and save the submission confirmation. If someone else uses the vehicle, make sure one person owns the deadline.
