Barton Permits Should Start With Code Enforcement

Barton makes the starting point unusually plain. The Town of Barton Code Enforcement page lists the code officer’s phone, cell, and email, and says permits are required for all stages of work. It also says applications may be picked up at the Town Clerk’s Office or printed from the page.

That is the starting point before a resident builds, alters, places structures, or assumes a small job is too minor to ask about. The town code gives the enforcement backdrop: enforcement can involve the Building Inspector, Code Enforcement Officer, or a town constable, depending on the chapter.
