Albany County clerk is not the DMV route
Albany County drivers should use New York DMV sources because the county clerk says Albany County does not operate DMV services.

Unlike many New York county clerks, the Albany County Clerk does not operate a DMV office. New York State operates the Albany DMV directly.
Do not take a registration, title, permit, or license errand to the county clerk simply because that works in another county. Use the state DMV office lookup for DMV work. Use the Albany County Clerk page for land records and other clerk services.
